We're up and at 'em!

Today we're heading to Disney World!

Julie and I have been awake for about an hour. Macy, on the other hand, has been awake for about 2 hours! I guess she's like a kid on Christmas morning.

Things are going amazingly smooth. We're taking 1 more checked bag than I would like (we have a total of 5), but I guess I can live with that.

We have some dear friends who have agreed to meet us at our house at 4:15 a.m. to take us to the airport.

Throughout our trip, I'll be blogging from my phone. Blogging by cell phone doesn't allow me to include pictures (and it will likely be in lower case print), but you'll be able to follow along.

Fish kicks!

Macy and I love our Taekwondo hobby (and we're all so happy to be at a place were we actually have the resources and opportunity to have fun hobbies). For dinner, I made the girls some fish sticks, and I arranged Macy's in the crude shape of a gal doing Taekwondo. (Macy thought it was cool, so we snapped a picture of it.)
We also have some cool kung fu santa stuff. :)

Christmas decorating

Well, we're going to be away for Thanksgiving. We're going to Disney, and we won't be home until December 6. So, we wanted to get a jump start on our decorating. Julie did a great job setting up all of our trees. The girls enjoyed helping, too.

Snow

It was pretty neat today. Big snow flakes fell today, and we all enjoyed watching/playing in it. The above video was after morning worship.

I took the picture of our van after evening worship to show how much fell in a short amount of time.

A Couple Of New Belts For The Family

Well, Macy and I had a belt test today. We both passed!

Julie's favorite part is the board breaking. Here's Macy's work.

The head guys had fun putting me through some pain of my own.

In the above break, the guys asked me to break 3 boards. I've done this before. In fact, I took a picture to show the thickness of 3 boards.

Now, for some kicking.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Today's mommy's birthday.

Here are the pretty girls.

We got mom a nice foot thing that she wants.
Julie was also given a neat blanket.

And the blanket came just in time, because it's snowing tonight. Now, I know I've gotten a little confused with my snows, but I'm sure this is the real deal.

Ladies Day

Garden City hosted its first ever ladies day. From all accounts, it was a huge success. Here are a few pictures Julie took.

Macy plays Deal or No Deal!

As part of their fundraiser reward, Macy's school had a Deal or No Deal competition. Anyone who sold ten items or more had their name put into a drawing and three were chosen. Macy was one of the lucky three! They played it just like the TV show, and Macy was determined to go for big bucks. She loved telling the banker "No Deal."

The money she won is real, too. Not bad for a few minutes of work.

Snow!!!

Last night we got rained on. Apparently, it got pretty cold too. This morning I drove by the park and found these piles of snow (kinda more like ice).

D

ETA: Y'all he's serious. He thinks this is really snow that fell last night in this one isolated area of Garden City. It's actually at our park where they have an ice skating rink. That's the ice and such that they scrape off the rink. It's always piled up behind the building just like this...even in August. A big eye roll for Dustin!

Sick girls

Bailey has not been feeling well. She woke up Thursday morning throwing up, but she perked up by middle of the day Friday. We really thought she was over it, so we took her trick-or-treating Friday night. Unfortunately, the fun was only beginning. Julie woke up with it in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Bailey had a re-lapse on Saturday night, and Macy got sick Sunday night. I'm the lone survivor (for now, at least).

This has been a rough patch along life's road.
